ive just sorted out a place to set up some breeding tanks and im wondering what size would be best. these tanks are not just for zebras but for l134 and l199 and a few others. im building the tanks myself but dont know what size would be best. is there any kind of formula for working out what size tank a pleco needs based on the adults size?

For a pair or Trio of the fish you are interested in breeding ie L046,L134 and L199, I would say a 10 gal tank (24x12x15")would be the minimum. I use the same size tanks for my zebra breeders. If the plecs were any larger ,I would go to a 30 or 36".
