Pretty much explains itself really. If you have questions about tank set-ups, tank furniture, (caves etc) chuck them in here!

My 600 L zebratank

Post by Line »

Hello fellow zebralovers

Just wanted to show my latest setup. Hope you'll like it.
It's a 600 L tank naturally with zebras, a lot of Parotocinclus sp. "Recife", few C. Sterbai, and Tetras.

I never before had so much fun and enjoy watching my zebras. They are behaving completely different in this bigger tank with a lof of "Life" hanging around.

Feel welcome to comment.

Really nice setup, I'm considering to also take the step and move them to a bigger tank.

Speechless line, true beauty.
Do your zebs also breed in there?
I see no caves are they also in there?
How many zebs are in there?
What are the tanks measurements, filtration?
Greetings,
John

Thank you very much

Well, I sure hope they do. But they did before in this tank, and lately a couple a weeks ago. This setup is very new. I presume, as long as the females have their George-Glooney male - they will breed :D
But I made some stress for them - changing the tank.
The caves are there. Well hidden. I made 9 territories for the 4 guys in there. The coming days they will probably try out every place to find the best.
Every morning the males are in a new place - checking out.
But it seems, the females always know where to find their favorite guy.

I have tried before to split up my group. It didn't help. They won't breed with anybody else.
So in fact - he is the most important of all.

I have two Filters. Each measuring 50x60cm. 4 Pumps - total turnover of 3300 l/h.
GH2-3 - KH1 - PH7 - 29°C.
Changing 50% every week.

I have some youngsters waiting to move in. Just have to be old enough to sort out the sex.

Best regards
