Re: Rapid river tank
Doesn't look very rapid to me
I think no powerhead can replace the amount of waterflow that is in a real rapid riversystem.

Re: Rapid river tank
I have already seen the project but I do not think I can do a unidirectional movement
Re: Rapid river tank
Sorry I got bored & turned off , scooter had more power to me
Re: Rapid river tank
This test is 100x30x40 cm tank with 30cm of water column with pump 700 L / H
The final will 100x40x50 tank with 35 cm of water column so I thought a total movement of 2500-3000 L / H

Hi Mauro
It is a really interesting concept, I am impressed .
From a flow rate point of view, I wonder if it would increase the flow from one side to teh other if you increase the differential of the two water columns as much as possible. That waay you also have the additional (if only a little) increase in water movement from teh LHS to the right. Although it may be a little noisy to have in the livingroom.
Keep us informed I would like to see what it ended up like

The perfect white lie..."Of course I didn't pay that much for the fish honey"
Re: Rapid river tank
I think it's a cool idea, just needs a bigger pump. Also want to see it set up and how the fish react to it. I like the thought of driving a subcurrent right where the fish are.
it's not in my nature to be mysterious, I just can't talk about it and I can't say why.
