Young zebs breeding?

Post by DanD »

I've had these four since May 2007. They were very small, less than half an inch (TL) when I got them. They had been in the same tank for over 2 years but I recently moved them to a new tank. I was having trouble finiding one of them when I noticed two of them in a cave, one way in the back and one in the front. They've been sharing the same cave for a few days now. I thought that typically this is breeding behavior but I didnt think they are old/large enough to be breeding yet. Any thoughts?

Heres a video I took when I was moving them to the new tank:

I don't really know which ones from the picture are in the cave.

Also is their size normal for their age? (aprox 2.5-3 years?)

I noticed that two of your fish are snubnoses. Those two are shorter than the size they suppose to be. So those two fish are older than what you think.
