not a major update but....

The eggs are doing great. no fungus or anything nasty
Mr Zeb is doing a great job - makes me wonder if he has done this before in his previous home.
we've even seen him turning and mouthing the eggs to keep them clean.

the other 3 zebs are acting differently now too - all 3 are out and about in the tank - even though there are 2 empty caves... the spawned female is sharing a crevice under a bit of bog wood with the last addition (who has never taken a cave)... I'm starting to wonder what sex ration w actually have...

Thanks for all the comments guys and girls :)

I'm over the moon this evening - we have wigglers!

Watched them hatch when I got home from work (some wiggling some still eggs) by 8:00 ish they had all hatched :)
I'm sure dad has done this before, there was a fry outside the cave, I rescued it and its deformed... no others - just the throwback

(in the process of my 'rescue' he flicked at me and another came out and that little blighter is perfect :))

Ejected deformed fry :(

and the acidental evictee :)

Oh and as a rather odd turn of fotrune... the other 2 zebs are now sharing a cave :?:
[edit] they were sharing a cave...

I've got a few more piccys for you all...

The cave wigglers (you can just make them out)

The cute little evictee - now starting to get some pigment :)

Look away now if you dont like what nature throws at you...

The deformed fry - It was a hard thing to do but I couldnt see it grow up.
(thats assuming it made it past the fry stage as it wouldn't have been able to eat properly anyway - look at its mouth.) It took a swim in one of our other tanks.

Thanks all

Its a Fuji S7000... now with 58mm adapter and a macro lens.

It looses a bit of clarity through the glass/water/plastic combination
