Everything you ever wanted to say about "Zebra luvin", but didn't because you thought everyone would take the mickey! Plus general topics for discussion including everything from what you feed them to your personal experiences.
I notice that the Ebayers selling L046 keep them at 98oF - I wondered what temperature you all keep yours at. Mine are kept at 84oF and they are not very active - would increasing the temperature encourage them out more?
I found that my zebras conditioned VERY well at 90 degrees. I had a very high tank turnover rate at that temperature though, in order to keep DO levels even remotely within a safe range. I don't think I'd personally go any warmer than that. The subsequent drop in temperature back to 85-86 made them quite a bit more active and frisky. I haven't pushed them back up into that range for months. Maybe I should try it again .
I keep mine between 83 to 86 and they continue to eat well and stay active. My babies are also kept at those temperature and they are also doing well and eating well.
