Hi,

I'm just in the process of trying to embed a forum on my website and I was hoping to use a phpBB forum. My website is on a windows based server and I'm having difficulty, then I remembered that this site has just upgraded it's forum with a rather handsome forum!

Could you please advise me?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Linzi

My advice would be don't use a windows server unless you're an expert. I'm available at £1500/day + expenses + VAT. ;-)

Best advice I can give you is change your host to http://www.dreamhost.com (tell 'em username webcat recommended you!), they have a one click install (and one click upgrade) implementation of phpbb3 which rocks bigtime. Otherwise, you will have something of a learning curve. It's taken me weeks to get this proficient at it, I manage five of them now. Two are now fully automated via the aforementioned dreamhost and they takes minutes of my time as opposed to long hours to keep in decent working order.

Hi,

I eventually got it up and running...the address is:

www.aquariumpages.co.uk

Please feel free to critique and suggest improvements...the articles aren't written yet but other than that it's getting there...

I'm going to link to zebrapleco on my links pages but just wanted to ask permission first!

Thanks,

Linzi
