raised caves

Post by crystalview »

I assume zebra's will travel all over the tank like other pleco's my AB's love the driftwood but with the zebra's I will need to add caves.
Do I need one cave per pleco?
Can the caves be up on the back wall of the tank? I saw some smooth looking rock that had holes in it. I thought to make a couple of closed caves out of these holes, but was not sure if they would go up the scaled rock to the caves if they are mounted on the back wall of the tank. Do there caves have to be low to the bottom of the tank at gravel level. What are your thoughts?

Most zebra's prefer their caves on or close to the bottom, i doubt if they'll take a cave that's half way up the tank.
Greetings,
John
