The dad may not have booted them intentionally. Not all zebra dads get it right the very first time. They may accidentally fan eggs or wigglers out or in some other way manage to lose them. However, if that behavior persists you may need to pull the eggs and father them yourself.

If the ones you have in the trap do not die and are not deformed, then you can assume it was accidental. If they do, that is more likely to mean he kicked them with cause.

Happy Days. I always found a turkey baster good for picking up stray eggs :-) :-)

If the cave is on a bit of a slope, even the slightest slope forward, the eggs can roll out during the males cleaning of the eggs. If you tilt the cave just very slightly so that they roll to the back it quite often stops stray eggs.

:D hi everyone just an update on my first spawn
all 9 are dowing fine :)
there egg sacks are nearlly gone now !
is there anything as in food wise i need to get for them?
