WHOOOHOO!!.... Finally my first spawn!!

Post by Zebraholic »

I'm am so excited with my first spawn of zebra! For the last week or so I haven't really being paying much attention to them apart from feeding them and checking that all members of the family are present. This morning I decided give the caves a visit and to my total surprise  I saw some wrigglers... they must have breed some time last week as the fry look free of egg sack. This is the first time they breed for me and the eggs hatched. I'm stoke....

Now the question is should I leave them with the parent or take them out???

Thanks guys... I will leave them with the parents. My only concern is will the fry be able to find food to feed themselves being so small?? I have 6 adults and they are in a 4ft long tank.

try to feed them many times as you can and clean the leftovers after feeding, do more frequent water changes and keep your tank in higher temp range around 88F. they should do fine.
