Hi everyone,

Just an update on the Zebs, I took these 6 out of the juvi tank today.
They are in the breeding trap with the betta females spawn at the moment.

The Alpha female is still in the cave with Alpha male.

Hiya, just an update on what has happened with the babies I have had.

The 6 I had from my pair in the juvi tank all died, I also lost 10 of the 22 that my alpha female spawned, this is the 1st time I have lost that many babies out of 1 spawn, gutted    Since then I have had another 12 from the adult tank but I don't know the female, the next female that was supposed to spawn was my Beta female, she has only just come out of the cave with my male now. More babies on the way :D :D At the moment I have 2 breeding traps in my adult tank with the last 2 spawns in, I am lost on what to do with the next spawn that will come out of the males cave in 7 days!!! I think that I must have viagra in my tank water   I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow.

Hi
Do you have a dedicated fry tank? or do you use traps? I use a custom made mini tank like a giant fry trap to grow my fry in untill they can be released into the main tank or growout tank. It measures 13"x 13" x 13" a big perspex cube really with one side a whole filter water is drawn in through the filter side and pumped out via a spong filter it gives the fry loads of room and is easier than a small tank to keep the water parameters good as it is suspended in the main tank no transfer stress on the fry and no change of water conditions or temp for them either. Can be easily made with perspex sheeting. I am sorry to hear that so many fry died it must of been very distressing for you, I am not going to insult you with a question of your water quality maybe cut the viagra down to half a tab every other day  hurr sorry fingers crossed for the next lot

Hi Jo,

I do use the breeding traps, but i must say that I have got my husband to make me a similar one too the one you made. It is curing at the moment and then needs the suckers stuck to it.

Heres a couple of pictures of the fry at the moment. This is the alpha females which only has 12 left.

Here are some of the fry from the unknown female.

They are cute fingers crossed no more die. Did they die at a certain age or on the same day its really strange and such a shame.
