Rescaped the 40B today

Post by vanillarum »

It's been a year since I've seen all my zebras at one time, so I decided to rescape their tank today. After emptying the tank of all decorations, slate, caves and plants, I am happy to report that they are all well and accounted for ! Managed to snap a few shots cause who knows when the next time will be that I'll see them all at once. Enjoy:

Zebra in the 3rd pic has some cool patterns on it's tail! Nice looking bunch. How many do you have?

Great pics, but I know what you mean about having to take everything out to see them, I recently did that with my L066

I hope your zebs appreciated their new aqauscaped tank once you were finished :)

Here ya go Linzi, the zebra tank. It is a 40 breeder with 2 heaters, 2 filters (Emp 400 and AC 70), and an aquaball 1212 powerhead. There is also a Koralia pump for current on the lower right side (I can't remember exactly (CRS) but I think it is a #2). I keep the tank at 85°, and do a weekly wc of 40%. And like all my plecos (except fry), I feed them every other day. I add prime and flourish at wc time. There are also a dozen pygmy corys and a few RCS in the tank. The big plant in the back is fake, the others are live, and the wood is mopani. Here ya go :

That's a nice looking tank. I'm curious, do the zebs use the higher caves?

Gg, yep, they use the caves on all 3 levels. Course they don't use them for anything but hiding and advertising, but hopefully, they will ! I think most of them are about a year away, but getting closer every day.
