Cheers guys.... and gals
McEve...the light house was a birthday present from my niece and nephew,it`s one of those MiracleBeam lazer jobbies
though it isn`t much use without the base unit.....maybe i`ll be getting that for christmas
I`ve been having a good look at my babies to day and was shocked to find that out of the 36 offspring i seem to have 6-8 that seem to have Bulldog fry syndrome
I`ve been reading up on the Bulldog fry posts but would like to know if there is anymore info/thoughts on the condition??

Sorry to hear you have a few with the Bulldog syndrome - did you 'pull your fry' or left them with Dad the whole time.
Bye the way they still look amazing and you've done well.

Thanks Jenny.
All except one of my spawns i`ve removed, mainly because i always land up getting one loose egg finding it`s way out of the males cave
On the second to last spawn i had,i removed the main group of eggs and returned the loose one to the cave but again the next morning i found it rolling around the bottom of the tank
any thoughts

Try tilting the caves a bit, put a rock or something in the front to make a backward slope. That would help the eggs stay where they should be

It is McEve,in the top picture my alfa males cave is the one on the far left, its the only one in my tank that i make sure has a back fall on it
It`s almost as if the male doesn`t want anything to do with the loose eggs and is only interested in the main group
Also is there anymore thoughts on what causes "Bulldog Fry"
