can you help with sexing please
hi there, can anyone help me with sexing??? i have added a few photos
Re: can you help with sexing please
Without knowing how long u've had it for or how old you think the zeb is, then its pretty difficult to say accurately.
But from the looks of it, it looks about 7cm?, so it could be a female from its head shape as males have a squarer head.

If it's 7cm, doesn't cave much and moves around and with that type of head shape, I'm pretty sure u got yourself a female

Should be ok to add to colony, however risk is allways involved, monitor behaviour in the colony closely to prevent big fights.whitey wrote:do you think at this size it will be ok to add to the other 2 males and 2 females? is there any risk to it?

Hard to say as the fish needs conditioning a little, it may be a female but not showing usual female shape.
Post some more pics in a few months.
I would alter the tank a little when adding new fish, but there is always a risk & I have lost both males & females to disputes, they can be nasty little buggers.
