Your oppinion

We all know how difficult it is to identify the sex of these fish, so please post a picture in here and we'll try to help you (or at least give an educated guess!).

Your oppinion

Post by har_eh » Fri Sep 24, 2010 4:50 pm

While I was cleaning the tank I found 1 of my zebs hiding in a piece of wood.
What do you guys think about the sex, or is it still to young? It's about 7cm and approximately 2,5 years old.

Well "wood" you believe it. :loldude:
It looks very much like she may be a female, very plump & pinched @ the gills.

I think it is a juvenile male. The odonthodes on the cheeks look very long to be a female.
But ofcourse I could be completly wrong

I would hazard a guess at a female purely down to shape.

I would agree with Stevie & Rob. Female, that has been through a battle or just fading stripes.

I would also guess its a female.
I don't like the coloration of her.... maybe its just a picture effect? or just me.

She was in a fight, she lost her stripes but now she's fully recovered.
