Sexing Help with WC Zebs

We all know how difficult it is to identify the sex of these fish, so please post a picture in here and we'll try to help you (or at least give an educated guess!).

Sexing Help with WC Zebs

Post by MalawiBob »

I bought 6 WC Zebs from Francis Chen a few months back and they have been getting on nicely lately, I lost 1 early on maybe 2 weeks after getting them but the other 5 seem to have settled in great. I had a roof disaster in my fish shed so now I have to move them to the new fish house in the garage and today was the day for moving the Zebs, decided to take some pics on there way from Shed to garage and I was wondering if you could help me sex them.

I asked for 2 males and 4 females any thoughts would be appreciated

The red in the tails I am hoping is the direct sunlight showing straight through their small bodies.

Thanks in advance

I think the 3 on the right are female, (not 100% sure about the lowest one) the other 2 are male/

Been wrong before though :P

Very nice zebras btw!

Hi
Going by body shape starting at 12 and going clock wise Male,Male, Poss F/Male, Small Male,DEF F/Male.

Sorry just my guess but I could be wrong .

Cheers for your thoughts, like most breeders I would have preferred more females but if I have at least 1 then I have a chance of breeding.

Has anyone else got any opinions, they have been in their new tank now for a month and 3 of them have taken a cave and the other 2 have taken to hiding under bog wood or beside a big stone, does this indicate sex - if they take caves?
