Back in business

We all know how difficult it is to identify the sex of these fish, so please post a picture in here and we'll try to help you (or at least give an educated guess!).

Back in business

Post by McEve »

Finally I got hold of a nice group, so I can start working with Zebras again. I have the other 9 pretty much covered, but I'm unsure about this one... This is the smallest one in the group, but should still be sexable...? I'd be glad to hear your opinions.

Thanks for your time

A big welcome back McEve, I would guess at a female.

Good luck with your new group

Great to see you got your stripes back. Hope that also means you will be visiting here more often too :)

Thanks guys :)

I picked it out as a female, but got unsure about this one when I got a closeup pic of all of them. There's still a matter of educated guess for me, except with a grown male, they're easy enough....

Thanks for your feedback, if it indeed is a female I have 4 males and 6 females. It feels terrific to have stripes in the house again :aok: Was a long way to get here though, Eheim did give me compensation in the end, but finding adult fish is not easy no matter what!

Just waiting for the titter tatter of little feet now, or maybe I should give them more than the 2 days I've had them before expecting them to perform

Hey! welcome back!

just couldn't stay away!

I'd happily stake a beer on it being a female!

awww, that's so nice of you to say, you make me all sentimental now :rose: It was quite a few years and quite a ride!

Me too John  Nah... I think I'll let them settle in first

It does feel so good to see them back in the house though, already feel like I have the tatter of little feet - my babies :)

Here's to new beginnings

I probably won't be so active on the forum though, a lot of things has happened during the last year, but I will certainly let you know if I do get any spawns :)
