is it a male?

We all know how difficult it is to identify the sex of these fish, so please post a picture in here and we'll try to help you (or at least give an educated guess!).

I am going to stick my neck out again and agree with you in saying that it is a male. It is very very skinny though, you will need to build it up quite a bit. There is a thread on here some where about a member who also got a skinny fish were advice was given on how best to do it.
