UPDATE on my L046

If it's about fish in general, or it's a little bit random, then this is the place to post it.

UPDATE on my L046

Post by chillired »

I have house them in a 2x2x18 inc tank. No sub stracture. I have place 7 caves for them to house in but they are not using it. They are alway at the back of the airstone.
Just worried,
I know that they are eating cause by the morning the food is gone.
Is there any cause for me to to be worried?
Do I have to put drift wood with plant?

Tank is 2x2x18 inch
No sub stracture.
Water Ph 6.7
Temp 26

Thank you
Cheer

Temp at 26 sounds too low, mine are at 29 :? Its strange they don't want to use the caves as mine love them. I have 2 pieces of bogwood in with mine although I've never actually seen them grazing on it so not sure how important it is

Hopefully someone more experienced will be along to help you :)

Every new Zebra owner is worried, as they are precious. :)

I wouldn't worry about them not using the caves, they're only babies yet, and would feel more secure in the company of eachother. If the food is gone in the morning then they're eating, so no need for concern there.

Just make sure you keep the water very clean at all times and it sounds to me as they'll be fine :)

About bogwood, have a look at http://www.zebrapleco.com/article2.php The page is a bit slow, but be patient and it will show ;)
