Creating a zebra biotope tank...whats their natural habitat?

If it's about fish in general, or it's a little bit random, then this is the place to post it.

Creating a zebra biotope tank...whats their natural habitat?

Post by elliott89 »

Hi Guys

I have become increasingly hooked on these fish..i started with 2 adult males but since then ive searched everywhere trying to find some more..well in April hopefully i be getting a group of 8 young zebs along with another adult male :D

Im considering using my 20 gallon planted tank and converting it into a rio xingu style tank..i don't want it bare and boring like a typical breeding tank as it is a main feature in my room and i want it to look nice :D ..i need suggestions on substrate and decor that are similar to what occurs in their natural habitat also i want some other tank mates that live in the same habitat as them to complete the effect...

Any input would be much appreciated

Thanks

Elliott

I would think a flowing river with piled boulders that has lots of crevises for them to hide.
