Lack of females

If it's about fish in general, or it's a little bit random, then this is the place to post it.

Lack of females

Post by rich1988oxford »

What do you guys reckon is the cause of less females being around these days? Could it be down to people breeding them in the same conditions. eg akaline ph. I iknow that PH can have an effect on the sex of the newborns so mybe zebs ar not being bred in enought verities of water.

I think it's because people are dumping males and not females.

I think we'll find more females around as mmore F1's grow out. I've getting both males and females in the spawns that's grown enough to determine sex.

The females did tend to be sorted out amongst the WC, but it was also a matter of the males being easier to catch
