Some suggestions:
1: Move location up to registration info and mark with * as a required field
2: I think the first post of a new member should be in the introduction section and then "unlock" the rest of the forum

Hi John,
Rob who owns the site is extremely busy at present...so it may take him a litle while before he sees this.
I'm sure once he does though he'll let you know what he thinks.
Certainly point 1 would be very helpful and would stop us having to repeat the 'put your location in your profile please' which would be no bad thing.

McEve maybe you misunderstood what i meant.
I meant that people as they join the site their first posting should be in the introduction section, after that post they can post everywhere they want.
Ofcourse the complete forum should be open to read for everyone.
I just think it is polite if you join a forum to introduce yourself first.
I also think it is easier to catch one time spammers that way.

Hi John
Thank you for your patience in my reply.
As Plastic said I have been somewhat unavailable recently and have found it difficult to attend teh forum.
There isa modification that can be carried out on the site that will enable us to make the Location a required field. I will have a lookin into it and see if it is something that we can get up and running for the new year.
As for the 24 hour wait period, My conerns would be that sometimes people join the forum in a "state of emergency" so to speak.
Thank you very much for your comments and hoep you are enjoing the site, it is good to have people on board who are interested i helping us improve what we do.
Have a great christmas
