How can we improve this forum, and the site as a whole?

Larger Photos on Breeding Page.

Post by khblock » Tue Apr 25, 2006 11:15 pm

Hey Rob,

I hope this is a good place to post this.

Is it possible to see larger pictures of the photos posted on the Breeding Page of this web site? Or can we click on the small photos to see larger ones?

I would like to compare my baby photos with those. I think someone is suggesting the shape of the baby on my avatar isn't correct. This was my first zebra pleco spawn and yes, I am inexperienced. I thought my babies looked beautiful but then again all moms think their babies are.

I'm not trying to start anything, not pointing fingers, not making accusations and not fussing, I just want to know. I want to approach this from a scientific point-of-view and I'm taking notes and comparing them with success stories here. I'm not in this for the money but for the fish. I want healthy & happy fish families.

You have a super guide and we would like to compare notes. We old folks can't see the details on little bitty babies on small photos. Can you help us out?

Signed,
One ol' Blind Lady

Edit:
If my avatar photo is a bad example of a baby zebra, I need take it down. I don't want to promote photos of bad looking fish.

Hi Khblock,

A good point there about the photos , I'm sure Rob will look into it.

I really replied to assure you that IMO there is absolutely nothing wrong with the fry in your avatar. It's propotions are as they should be for a fry of that age. I have found that there can be a bit of variation in body shape some can be longer in body shape and others are more squat in body shape.

Stop worrying you have a beautiful baby.

Thanks Adam.

I think all us amateurs can benefit from larger photos. I’ve learned what to look for in discus but still learning with plecos…well since there are so many different types I don’t think we can quickly identify flaws in a fish. Case in point the ugly fish thread in the Wanted area. We don’t know if it’s a flaw or a different species.

Its good to know that my babies are normal. They are growing and their their lines are almost solid black. They are starting to look like their parents.
