I agree with McEve on this one, move the female to the males tank. I understand moving them around can delay things as I have noticed. I've recently moved all my zebs into another tank and, theoretically, I was due another spawn in mid June; i.e now. I was worried that by moving then from tank to ta...

Some members also have a theory that wild caught zebras may need stimulating but tank raised ones don't. Do you have wild zebras or tank raised? What sizes are they? Male/female ratio? I think we can often try and do too much in an effort to get/help them to spawn and this only results in upsetting ...

Do you not think an inch is too small?

I'd be concerned about stressing them too much in transit when they're that size.

Good price tho, nice to see. :)

I just hope the little fella makes it. I'm actually feed them JMC catfish pellets which are high in protein and have helped fatten my larger zebbies up. This stuff dissolves into the finer powder granuals so there should be plenty of it to go around. I'd like to leave the little fella in with the ad...

Thanks McEve. I was just happy, and suprised, to find it in the first place. I know, from what I've read in other posts, that it's the most important time for it right now but I can only assume that it's eating as it's impossible to spot it in my tank. The food I'm using disolves in to fine powder l...

My 1st Zebra fry pic

Here is a pic of my first zebra fry which I found on Sunday when I moved my zebras to their new tank. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/nesolb/IMGP00501.jpg It is roughly half an inch in size and I'm guessing it's between 3 - 4 weeks old, this would make it from my first spawn at the beginning ...

It certainly looks like a male.

Do you have any caves in your tank? if so, Does this fella sit in them a lot?

I realise these are obvious questions but a male of that size would surely be hanging out in a cave, mine certainly do!!!!! :)

My tank set up is in it's third or forth variation now but still looks pretty similar to the one you posted the link to. The middle part was intended to be the open feeding area and it also turned out to be, as Troy has mentioned, the place where the food would pool. I made sure I put in enough cove...

There's a pic of my tank set-up on the forum somewhere but I can't find if at the mo.

I basically just gave them some degree of cover so they could come out of hiding and eat but also not be too far away from cover should they feel the need to dart off, which they love to do!!!!
