Hi Stang1, Nice setup you have there, looks like you have everything under control. As PM has said I have often found that breeding takes place in caves that are in a more "private" location but this isn't always the case. I have had a breeding trio of zebras in a tank which is in the kitc...

I know that some members here have used other types of tiles to make caves. My own advice would be to go for natural slate, I wouldn't take the risk that some tiles may present.

That's a good guide that Husky Jim has posted , I missed that one.

Sorry for dragging this one up again but I had to share my recent experience. You may think it's safe to reveal the plecogeek side of your nature to close friends but it isn't, take my word for it. A couple of close work colleagues saw me on ZP last week and I didn't minimise the window to my toolba...

likewise I would want to know, doesn't have to be gently. I can take it. :P

That said I would be gentle with the more "delicate" members. :jk:

Just a little update, our battle with spam on the forums should be noticeable by now. Whole domains from which the spammers post are being banned. It is a relentless job at times, I have personally spent a lot of time, as have the other Mods and Admins deleting posts and accounts. http://www.wuerziw...

I agree with John, best not to. ABNs will out compete zebras for both food and territory. Once mature they will be far too aggressive, especially males.

Hi N2Biomes and welcome to ZP. :D Congrats on your recently purchased zebras. It's good to hear that you have them in a relatively small tank for the time being. At that age and size they really do seem to do better growth wise in smaller tanks. They dont seem to want to forage big distances in sear...

The art work on those cakes is amazing, like Mindy says though I wouldn't have the heart to be the first to cut into one of those. Perhaps I should have paid more attention in cookery lessons at school.

Looks good to me, I'm also liking the slate floor. Seems to be quite popular these days. How are you getting on with the moss balls? The reason I ask is that mine used to roll around the tank like tumble weeds due to the current, of course they used to get stuck in places. I eventually took them out...

Hi 2good4u and welcome to the forum, :D You may want to edit your profile to include your location. It helps us when making suggestions on equipment meds etc, knowing where you are from as it may dictate what is available to you locally. You certainly have a fair few questions there which is ...

Still, I wouldn't want to go around with a picture of a bulldog nosed zebra on my T shirt, it just sends the wrong message.

Anyways going around with a big picture of a zebra plastered on your chest may get you labelled as a geek. I'm still firmly in the closet for now.
