i would agree with alistair, cover the tank with a damp sheet, turn off your air pumps, put carbon in your filters and adjust your filter so its agitating the water surface, seal the house, doors windows etc and get yourself to safety.
Good luck

The internal dimensions for the terracotta caves are also roughly 25mmx35mmx140mm. they are definate proven breeding dimensions as my zebra's have bred in them lol. I say roughly tho because they are not square inside so there are no corners. they are round/oval inside which makes the zeb feel a lit...

yeah i have used vinegar to check slate etc too.....it will just bubble slightly, if it does then it will slowly affect your water ph and or quality. I have also had success with terracotta caves. i got my fish from germany and the breeder was using these to breed the zebs as well as ancistrus, L66 ...

hello again I'm Not sure in using 100% RO in your tanks. I have used RO to breed dicus but have ALWAYS used some tap water to put in some elements as well as ROright. Even if i only used as little as 10% and then made up the GH with ROright. Ro right is a great product and adds alot of minerals to t...

Hi Plastic mac I may be way of traget here but i am going to come at your problem from a very different angle, at least if im worng it can be discounted. I picked up earlier that you use 100% RO water and make it upto 300ppm with RO right. I too have been using RO water recently to try and trigger a...

sorted it, i dug out my copy of datz which says
"Adult male L66 like other ancistrine can be identified by heavy odontal growth"
That makes a lil more sense, maybe aqualog is a misprint or im reading it very wrong!
doesnt explain their behavior tho, maybe i got bi-sexual fish lol

yeah i have posted on planet catfish and on scotcat but noone seems to know lol I think i have both sex's so maybe i can breed them and then clear up the issue, i cant see why L66 would be any different from other hypancistrus so i'm not sure if the "aqualog" is a missprint. Or maybe Fish ...
