Do you have ammonia? Nitrite? Was the tank cycled? How big is the tank? We need more information. MUCH more information. How warm is the tank now?

I deleted your second post of this topic. Cross posting is generally frowned on. Don't do it again please. If someone is going to answer the question it needs to be all in one thread.

Keep in mind that while you must raise the pH (I've killed zebras crashing the pH, not a fun time!), you have to also realize that bringing the pH up with ammonia in the water can kill them just as fast. I would add amquel and plan on doing some frequent small changes. If you don't have a second ta...

Get us a picture. Fat zebras look much the way you described. Don't panic and kill them all medicating them. Do a water change if you MUST do something. Also, I'm locking this thread because it's a cross post. Posting in more than one forum with the same question doesn't get you answers faster, it ...

Not to mention that the fact someone cleaned up their act doesn't necessarily offset the things they did before. It just means they learned to be more careful. I'm glad the transactions turned out well for you both.

Just venting.....

I just wanted to whine a bit. I introduced my 4 F1 zebras a few months ago and just found one of the females dead in a cave. I'm starting to hate these murderous little monsters. I really am! They're currently 2 weeks into a warm up and dry season trend. She was in a cave that doesn't even have a l...

Now that they are conditioned, stop doing water changes for a couple weeks (if it's safe to do so) and wait. After 3 weeks, drop the temp down to 82, do a few big water changes with cool RO water and be patient ;).

It's way better than the way that ends at my house though. I sure hope that doesn't happen to you! There are a couple members that have two spawns at one time in their tanks, so it can definitely depend on the individual fish. Sorry to hear you're having such scary issues though :(.

That's a terrible lesson to learn this way :(. Good luck with the rest of them! Hopefully the vet will have some advice that will help you protect the group from more issues.

Wow, that's a new one on me. I've never seen anything like it. I'll ask around, see what I can find out.

That's awesome! Congratulations :). My male currently has someone trapped, but he has seemed to forget what to do with a girl when you get her in your cave, I think. Glad to hear your male definitely has it figured out!

I don't do nano reef tanks for some of the reasons listed, but more because you just can't put enough in them. Here's my current reef tank. Excuse the blue of the picture, the bulbs are 20k Ushios and these were taken to show the visual differences in bulbs. http://www.aquariumsolutions.org/gallery...

This guy looks male, IMO, even with his weight. Being in heavy condition can really help them with protecting eggs. Here's a picture of my two oldest dominant males for comparison.

At that size, I'd say female, personally. I've had MUCH more butch looking females at that size. At least it gives you some hope ;).

We don't provide contact information, no, as there are far more people looking for them than there tends to be available. Your post in the classifieds section should yield you a reply, if anyone has fry that are ready to sell. Good luck!
