I remember when mine were that small, you gona have some waiting to do before they get to a sexable size tho... but you'll have fun and enjoy watching them do this! they will soon become more bold and comfortable the longer time goes on...

looking good, what you done with the L134's? they got a new home? dont worry about the female being in arround the caves, my females hang out in the caves/ arround the caves too and so do other peoples aswell... :wink: hope they start breeding for you soon, but do you not think a 180L tank might be ...

Jo, the first pic does look like a young male and from the second and third pics i would say shes female, she does however, look slightly snubnosed, unless its just the angle? :? if its not just the pics and she is a slight snub nose, if she does spawn you can see if it is hereditory or an environme...

two of them look extremely small/ skinny. exactly how big are they? i would take the other fish out of the tank or give them their own tank. the others will easily outcompete them for food. :( if you dont have another tank to move the other fish too or move the zebs too, try to get a large breeding ...

hey mate, my 60L tank that i originally set up was going to house 4 adult zebs so i would say a 58L would be fine as long as no more than 2 males! as they will probably fight/ be terrortorial towards each other, even with two males in there... but now i am going to use this tank for some L134's but ...

thanks for your replies, my big tank which houses 10 L046. 8 of which pretty much all adults (4 at over 3 years, 4 at about 2.5/3 years) and two at just about 2 inch. the tank is 36 x 12 x 15 (L x W x D). i have a Eheim 2324 thermo external filter running this tank, with a Eheim aquaball 2210 intern...

try zm foods, tetra prima, and brineshrimp pellets and blood worm pellets, try to avoid feeding live or frozen bloodworm as the are a bit small and could chooke on it. mine love the brineshrimp pellets best but also try nutrafin max sinking complete food tablets another food that mine go crazy for.....
