Unsure to be honest, but another problem maybe the fact you need bright lights to keep your plants alive, zebs like dark hidey holes and not bright light, these fish in the wild, live 30 metres down, wheres its very dark and little light ever hits them.

In total, I have over 30 tanks, but only 7 have adult zebs in, others are used for fry tanks and growong / quarantine tanks etc.

Try using a egg tumbler to prevent mould and fungus on your eggs, a quick search on google for fry egg tumbler will show you what I mean, works well. On of my males is notorious for eating eggs, so now I remove them immediately and rear all his eggs by "hand". Much better survival rate, th...

Hi have a mixture, 3 x (3ft) tanks with Penguins( 8 ) and cardinals( 8 ) in each compared to 4 x (3ft) tanks without, all tanks have produce roughly the same amount of spawns.

Each tank has 2 males and 3 females in.

Would have to agree with above, I use them with my khoula loaches, but have to be replace every 3 weeks else its a nightmare trying to clean the tank and fish them out.
