Hi again
Well it works for me, and 100% removal of Malayans, I have done it on 4 tanks to date. It can take up to a week for all the snails to die. As for clogging filters, not really a problem, I over filter and clean every day. This is the only chemical way for 100% removal of cone snails that I have found...

Hi
Flubenol 15 gets rid of them, about 5 times the recommended dose, may have to do this twice. The biological filter will stay intact. It doesn't kill all snails but works on the Malayan Cones. You can get it mail order from Leicester Discus. Best to do it on fishless tanks as the mass death may cause...

Hi again
Hi Rob My point is, and accepting the rules of the site, advertise the fish at whatever price somebody wants to. Criticism, is not acceptable. The whole of the Xingu, the Amazon Basin is in trouble, and these problems are reflected with fish species around the world. We are very fortunate in the UK ...

Hi
Rio Madeira a long way from the Xingu. Sad it is, but the benefits to mankind, or people who live there will be very short lived, it will silt up so quickly. So a light bulb for a native in the short term will mean taking away a greater proportion of the planets lung. People on here plead hardship w...

Hi Rob
Hi Rob I agree whole heartedly with what you say. The sales were posted and one is about to be posted, and I have not criticised at all, and will not. In a thread which I started in general terms, a couple of prospective vendors posted justification. In my opinion, these posts should have been delet...

Hi again
"Well I have not seen any zebs in my lfs at all and the ones I have seen for sale in various Uk shops have been on sale for more than £200 in some cases." There were some for sale at Pier at the beginning of the year for £95. "So whos to say that because you care for your fish that yo...

Hi
As part of the Zebra community, and a computer illiterate, I can't even manage to get a poll running. Perhaps somebody would do it for me. My point is, that you don't have to own Zebras to be a member or a participant on this site, and encouraging an interest can only benefit the fish. It seems an a...

Hi again
Hi this thread started off in general terms. Caesars raised numerous situations which I have encountered regarding the number of fry. Then the situation of a specific pending sale arose. While criticism of sales is prohibited, it is my opinion that justification placed in another thread can be just ...

Hi again
Well I saw the funny side. Then the realisation that the question may have been asked, prompted my answer. A belief, a scientific proof, well these are constantly changing and will continue to do so, or as we study anything including fish behviour our knowledge will increase. One is based on facts a...

Hi
A clever answer indeed or is it? Do souls have mass? If so and assuming the mass of the universe is constant, it will eventually disappear into heaven and hell and there will be nothing left. If no, what is a soul, energy, and this is accepted as interchangable with mass, again the outcome is the sa...

Hi
I have one group of 10, and in approximately 18 broods and 102 young only once have I had 2 males brooding at the same time. This is in a 200 liter tank. IMO if you are going for numbers split into two, if you want a community and interaction stick to one. Also rearranging the tank in my experience ...

Hi
Hi Folks I would not advise the mixing of the 2. While the two will mix (Agree with McEve that oxygen content more important than water flow) you will be giving neither optimum conditions. IMO Zebras are naturally nocturnal, Discus are not. So feeding just before lights out for the Zebras and during...

Hi
Hi again The intention is to breed and I think it will take 5 or 6 years, but first of all I will get a few more from other sources. As for gender, habits etc I will learn as I go. They have been bred so it is possible, so it should be fun giving it a go. As for wife or should I say ex wives, the ul...
