The plants common name is Devil's Ivy, may help with your search. I read up a bit more about it and appears to be considered as an exotic pest species in Florida. Gugge, I am right in thinking that you grow this plant submerged? I thought that it was grown out of the tank but the roots are allowed t...

The zebras are not likely to have a preference for either type of cave, it's the dimensions that are important. Most people use slate because you can make those up yourself quite easily. The clay type caves need to be baked in an oven and I'm not sure if a domestic oven will get to the temps require...

Hi Edlund, Your water parameters look good to me. Personally I don't pay too much attention to GH and KH until I'm looking to spawn the zebras. I use a conductivity meter to measure the "hardness" of my water. Around the 120 Microsiemens(uS) mark is where I have had the most success, this ...

Hi Stevie.K, Congrats on the spawn. :D The plant mentioned by Gugge is terrestrial and appears to be available as a houseplant. It's particularly interesting to hear of its nitrate absorbing capabilities. I think you should be able to get hold of it at a reputable garden centre. Here's a link: http:...

Hi lawrie909,

That's a nice setup you have there, the zebras look great too. :)

You will probably find that the zebras will not occupy the clay type caves that are raised so you may want to place them at "ground" level at some point.

Good luck with the zebras.

As Andrew says they prefer cooler tank temps, theyare also unlikely to tolerate the high flowrates in a zebra tank. You may have a job trying to find them now as they are in short supply due to over fishing.

If you get a key word you're pretty much there. I didn't think to search for "fisherman" either.

Try another one just to make sure that KF didn't just get lucky.

You could also try using a snail trap, I used one recently in a tank that was infested with snails. After about a weeks use the snail population was greatly reduced. Here's the one that I used but there are other types available. http://www.aquaristikshop.com/e_Produktinformationen/Sera-Snail-collec...
