Re: Zebra Plec - Not Growing
From what I gather from the pros is try not to put your hands too much in the tank. If you wana isolate him to fatten him up? I don't see why not. They are expensive and you want the peace of mind. I isolated my female when my male trapped her and basically ate her back fins :( . She is healthy but ...

Re: Zebra Plec - Not Growing
I can relate. I added 6 zebbies recently myself and now currently have 13. I have a couple of little ones also and I try to combat the problem by spreading the food around. At first I fed as normal but then like you I noticed the little ones getting out boxed. So what I did was I put 3 sticks in the...

Added 6 beauties
I added 6 juvies to my 7 zebbies. My second batch from Saul. The flight was delayed on Thursday and the fish stayed over night in the airport. Next morning I was prepared for the worse but I opened the box and all little ones were moving in perfect condition. It's Tuesday and they are looking comfor...

I have to take a new picture, she has her stripes back but the top back fin looks like it's not growing back. She was so pretty. i mean she still is but will the top back fin ever grow back? Best ...

Re: Trapping!!
Taking it out TTA. Thanx! Now that I know I have a pair. Should I isolate the pair? Or take what I think is other males out the tank or leave be?

Trapping!!
I checked the cave that my alpha male resides in yesterday and he had zebra trapped in there!! :aw: They were in there for hours. I checked twice, hope I didn't bother them with the light :loldude: I wake up this morning he is in his cave alone. I do my usual feeding. His right cheek by the barbels ...

Re: juvies fighting like mad :(
Very interesting TTA. You mentioned the alpha male doesn't have to be the biggest but the toughest. I just mixed 5 new Zebras about a month or 2, with 2 already there. There's a little guy I call pesto from my new batch that goes around pecking at every zebra in the tank. It was so funny because he ...

Re: New Look?
Lol thank you guys for your replies. Here is a picture of that piece during the cleaning process. I kept on pouring hot water in the tub and drying it for a week. My guess its about 40-50 pounds. I was very scared that i would crack my tank placing the wood in.

Re: New Look?
Thanks J decided to tweak it one more time. I had to turn the flash on so you can see the caves.
I have a Pellia tied to a lava rock sitting on top of the wood. - Fri Mar 15, 2013 9:29 pm
