There seems to be a little ray of hope for Brazil

According to Best Friends ( http://bestfriends.com/ ), a magazine we subscribe to, Brazil's president, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva "created two new national parks" and "expanded another national park" in the Amazon. He also signed a "decree placing 3.7 million acres of the rai...

Hey Barbie, Its a beautiful fish. Went to PC and read up on it. Very nice but got a bit of a tickle. There is a photo of this cat's teeth. I'm not making fun of the pretty little baby but you have to admit this is very interesting. http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/loricari/scobinan/161_14.PHP I ...

I think I read somewhere the water volume turnover rate should be 5-8 eight times an hour. My filter turnover rate is a little better than 7.5 times an hour and the ZP seem happy with it. Someone else, Barbie, Rob, McEve, Adam or others who have more experience may offer a different opinion. I'm sti...

Well said AndyT. It is also my experience that when people become involved in a hobby such as ours, and they are serious about it, they tend to educate themselves. As to whether LFS are doing their part, I can only cite what I have observed. IMHO most of the fish sold in LFS here in the US are sold ...

I like it a lot. The rocks are smooth and that driftwood looks like it belongs there.

Do you know what kind of rocks you have in the set-up? It looks like granite?

Sorry, one thing I've noticed is that a couple of your caves are fairly close to each other. This can put the alpha male off if another male moves in next door. Good point. I'll angle the caves away from each other. It'll be harder for me to sneak a peek but better for the zp. Thanks for the advice...

Thanks Adam. I think all us amateurs can benefit from larger photos. I’ve learned what to look for in discus but still learning with plecos…well since there are so many different types I don’t think we can quickly identify flaws in a fish. Case in point the ugly fish thread in the Wanted area. We do...

Larger Photos on Breeding Page.

Hey Rob, I hope this is a good place to post this. Is it possible to see larger pictures of the photos posted on the Breeding Page of this web site? Or can we click on the small photos to see larger ones? I would like to compare my baby photos with those. I think someone is suggesting the shape of t...
