One, two, three Baby Pictures

Hello All, I've been trying to get good photos of my new babies. I was going to apologize for the poor quality of the photos but how can you take a bad picture of these little beauties. So what if the pics are a little fuzzy, they're stunning regardless. :D I'll keep trying to master that cam...

I think you'll find that the difficult part is getting them to spawn the first time. After that very little encouragment is needed for subsequent spawns. Have a look around the site and you'll find tons of info. So true. I've had my zebs for about a year and a half and no spawning activity. I came ...

This is similar to some of the discus recipes I've seen around and have made. Some folks also blend in pre-natal vitamins & Knox gelatin. The gelatin keeps the mixture together keeping it from polluting the tanks as much and helps it sink to the bottom. Anything left over can be easily removed b...

Thanks for the reply Plastic Mac.

I've been trying to get my zebras to spawn for two years. I asked DuMa to make slate caves for me. I got them on February 4th and put them in right away. In less than one month we have babies.

Thanks DuMa. :D

Worried with a quick question...

I'm in my first zebra spawn and found two fry babies on slate while doing a water change yesterday. I found another one this morning. Its in the cave with dad. :D Now I'm worried...why are the other two out of the cave already? It looks as if Mom is watching over them. They have lost their yoke sack...

Thanks guys. I knew the females were in the cave with males. I think...hoping one of my other males is guarding eggs. I can't see and don't want to upset him. Fingers crossed.

The stork has landed

After 1 1/2 years I found two zebra pleco fry hugging a piece of slate while doing a water change. I could hardly believe my eyes. I called my husband and made him come home for lunch. This was my first zebra spawn. I'm new to the hobby and have only kept fish for a few years. My husband has...

While researching I came across this thread and though its an old topic I decided to add my two cents. I raise discus, angelfish, rainbowfish, killies, halfmoon bettas, bn plecos and as of today zebras (yeah) :D :D. So far I see three babies. All my fish are captive bred with the exception of my zeb...

Well...we are down the Chattahoochee river south east of Atlanta; metro area of over 3 million people. We get all their waste. According to my brother-in-law (who would know because of his job) we have one of the best water treatment faciliaties in the country. Although, I've not found it to be that...
