Selling 3 week old fry!! what a shame..
This was at Aquabid this morning: http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/auction.cgi?fwcatfishp&1210053964 when I email her about the age of the "fry" she told me 3 weeks, but if I could wait a "few more days" she would sell 2 more under a separate auction, just giving them t...

Is this an old fish?
I recently met an old time friend at our local fish club. He told me that he has in his discus tank a 13 year old Zebra...the oldest fish he's got. Originally he bought a young pair, but one of them died. The way he described it, there is a chance that it might be a female. I might be willing to go ...

Feeding frequency
Ok guys, I know this goes back to Zebra 101, but I did a search and can't find enough info about the subject. I'ts been one week that I have a group of 17 zebras, ranging in size between 1.2 to 1.5". One was death this morning, it appeared undernourished. I've been feeding them a variety of foo...

The only tank wipe out i had on a tank with zebs was with a power out, 2 tanks would not have made any difference. Thanks John. Question, how long were your zebs w/out power? I would like to know. Here in Florida powerouts occur during stormy/hurricane season, but the temp usually is hot, in...

after spending an arm & a leg....
I ended up with 17 baby zebras from at least 6 different bloodlines (or so the sellers say). Anyways, size ranges between 1.2" to 1.5" and one that is 2"+(hopefully a female). I want them to grow out for the next couple of years & I'm trying to figure out at what size should I spl...

Well...since we're talking about it, ...it is an established importer, who claims he has connections in the right places, but due to the risks involved, that is the price. He didn't ask for any moneys upfront, just my assurance that I would buy, since he will need a minimum lot of 20...that plus a l...

Is this a fair price??
Let us imagine that I bumped into somebody who has a group of +/- 20 wild-caught Zebras (3 inches or better) adults. Let us imagine that I'm satisfied that they are indeed wild-caught, but can't determine the sex. If I'm willing to buy a group of 6-7, is $600 (US dollars) a piece, a fair price? No f...
