I got mine from Captain Caveman who's a member of the forum, give him a pm and I'm sure he'll be able to sort you some out. A few of the other members have the captains caves and they're very good quality, mine seem to like them and have spawned in them recently.

Thanks for the sympathies. I keep thinking it's something i've done or not done that caused it to die.

The only thing I could think of was stress but then I guess there could have been something wrong with it, hopefully I'll have more success with the next batch.

Pissed off today, got home from work and the little fella has died; steep learning curve isn't it. I'm pretty much clueless as to why but the only thing I could think of was stress. It was in the fry trap without any cover cos I hadn't had time to get a little piece of bogwood. Any idea what m...

Thanks for the info. The little wriggler is doing just fine, sorry about the pic problem but just to give you an idea it looks identical to the little fella on the banner at the top of the page. I'm using an Interpet breeding trap with the spray bar so no problems with jagged edges or flow issues. I...

I keep my zebbies with corys. The zebra's were a little nervous around them in the beginning but they're not bothered in the slightest now.

I was actually thinking about adding a large shoal of zebra danios but I'm still contemplating whether or not to split my zebra's in to two groups.

I've checked the second spawn this morning and it would seem that the eggs weren't fertilised, I think the male's probably eaten them. The suspected alpha male wasn't guarding anymore wrigglers so I've just ended up with the one. I'm certainly not complaining tho cos I wasn't expecting either spawn ...

It might be worth taking the older fry out, if you can, as it seems to be a very busy household!! :)

I suggest you put them in a fry trap or a grow out tank if you have one.

We've got wrigglers!!!!!!!! :D I've checked on them both this morning and I noticed that the male I suspect to be the alpha was making himself look big at the front of his cave. I looked again a few minutes later and some how a wriggler has got past him and was just sat there on the tank floor. He's...

Makes sense really I guess!! The tank temp is 28C. I've not tried any inducing techniques cos I thought they were too young to spawn. I was expecting them to start showing an interest in about 6 - 12 months from getting them, not within 3 months!!! As we all know it could take years for them ...

I turn the External Eheim off, put the food into a jug of tank water until it's sunk and then stick my arm in the tank and pour the food on to the floor; I then turn the Eheim back on. I don't have a powerhead running so the food just settles once it's been poured in.

Thanks for all the congrats, I'm still in shock today. :D I've not been doing anything special apart from the regular 15% water changes twice a week cos I have a tendency to over feed them. NetsuaiAngel - I'm feeding them JMC high protein fish food and catfish sinkers with the occasional freeze drie...

Unbelieveable - 1st spawn

I'd been watching my zebra's eating, as I always do, and I'd noticed that one of my cave dwelling males hadn't been out to eat, he's always out eating without fail. My first thought was to be worried and I wasn't able to see him in the cave cos I couldn't find my torch. Today I've managed to find th...
