URL ... yes ... modern technology for you. Thank god for copy-paste commands. As for the net breeding trap no, that was the last time we used it. We had a number of them from the past - they were ok for mid and top water fish. We stopped using them years ago; the plec's food was just going straight ...

coming up soon!!! Next update of mchportal will be the L114 article and the L262s are due in November - that will give them a chance to grow up a bit!!! Since then we had one more spawn and babies are doing extremely well, though this Hypancistrus is like the zebras, you can't quite see them as ofte...

The discus introduction is more likely than not a co-incidence. Even if the fish were ill, it would take more than a day to start experiencing deaths. Prawn: more than likely it was no good. I don't believe the fish chocked on it, they are 2 years old. We feed ours shrimp, prawn, mussel and cockle o...

Nobody in their right mind would use Oxygen tabs to ship livestock, you should only use pure Oxygen, thats what all the exporters use. We will have to disagree with this one. We have used oxygen tablets for over 10 years to ship fish and we never run into problems which were specific to the tablets...

Agree with all before. We have 5 spawning pairs in the same tank and 3 in a different tank. They all seem to spawn at different intervals. Our gamma male spawns every 4 weeks religiously (he kicks the fry out and the female is in there in a flash). He's been doing that for a year now and he is in mi...

L262 Spawn

That was our return from holidays present!!! Our young colony of F0 L262 has had their very first spawn. Dad is absolutely fantastic, keeping the youngsters in the cave and only letting them venture in the tank an hour after lights out; he then collects them in just before lights on. Below a photo o...

Sorry about your loss. Unfortunately, we just saw your message today. For reference: There are two products produced by TAP called Aqua Swab and Aqua Gel. They are available at World of Water (that's where we got ours). They are supposed to be for pond fish and treat ulcers / open wounds. We have tr...

Normally one would expect the juveniles to hide more than the adults - this behaviour is observed in other L-code cats. Having said that, we had the same experience as you with a group of our adult zebras who will happily go out in open spaces, eat, explore and play with lights on. We have also seen...

Hi all, We have now been told the article is not scheduled to be published until June 2008 - it will be in Amazonas for those of you who can speak/read German. Will be a long wait, so we thought we would post a couple of pics of the fry developing: http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a179/Caesars_/DSC...

congratulation, I hope they all hatched. and if I can ask a question please, as with L114, how do you tell male or female, on the picture that the fish out side should be a male, but he has no odontones on his pectoral fins at all. So I guess to sex them then we have to observe they courtship behav...
