Fry Dying Out The Blue - What is it?

hi guys, over the past few months iv noticed fry ranging from 6 weeks to 6 months keep dying out the blue. there isnt a mark on them and their bellies are full of food... iv been thinking what it is thats causing them to die but im at a loss.... iv checked all the obvious things like nitrate, ammoni...

sounds like your doing everything right, keep the water conditions good and if you can get some meth blue (its antiseptic) and should stop any infections getting hold (pets at home sell it). dont give up, a few times my zebras have had fights and lost their stripes but they get them back in a suppri...

Tetra Species Native to The Xingu - HELP PLZ

hi guys,

i need to find out which tetra species live in the rio xingu, iv been trauling the net and cant find it, even fishbase.net hasnt helped!! :?

if anyone knows any plz let me know.

neon tetra disease only effects tetras... your zebras would be fine.

also i would say that a large % of cardinals and neons in the trade are still wild caught.

hi mate,

in my experience cherry's dont even breed at too high a temp so you will be ok. even if you do get them to breed they wont over run your tank in the same way snails would... if you breed too many just sell some..! :D

iv got a lovley shoal of cardinals in my zeb tanks and they are thriving at 86 degrees!

iv heard rummy noses are a good one for zebs too.

hi guys, i take my eggs out the day they are due to hatch and place them in a plastic trap with an airstone and i get a 90% success rate (so far). so i dont think its as clear cut as that. all i can suggest is keep trying different things, i used to loose fry at that stage but my problems we're due ...
