Both those fish are catfish. Sterbai stay mainly on the bottom, while the pygmies roam around a little bit more. Try 2 nets. Makes things a lot easier ! Good luck.

I have a colony of 15 zebs, mostly juveniles, only 3 adults, in a 40 gal breeder tank. I keep 8 sterbai cories and 10-12 pygmy cories in with them, and they are all doing fine. They have been together since last fall. I know there are others that also keep sterbais with zebras and have no problems. ...

Dan, I just recently bought some L333s from this guy (Jeff), and he is a great guy to deal with. From talking to him, I would say that if he says that they are wild caught, then that is what his provider is telling him. I would buy fish from him again in a heartbeat. Good luck. Dan.

I use soft, moist krill that I got from Kens. It sinks fine, and all my plecos eat it. Good luck.

If the AquaClear is too noisy, you may want to try an Aquaball 1212, I had 2 of these on my 40 breeder zeb tank, but recently took one off, due to the fact that I have an AC70 and an Emperor 400 filter adding oxygen. The 1212 is pretty quiet, although it is not in my bedroom. I would love to have my...

Live black worms ?

I'm sure that this question has been asked, but I was unable to find it. Do any of you "veteran" zebra keepers, and by veteran I mean anyone who has been at it longer than me( 6 months !!) or even shorter if you have any experience with it, use live black worms to feed your zebras ? I've b...

I keep a couple of Assassin snails in my zebra tank, and they help keep the snail population down. You may want to try that. Good luck.

I second will74s' opinion about River Wonders. I have purchased zebras on 2 different occasions from them in the last year, and had absolutely no problems. Before I paid, I e-mailed them with my questions and requests, and I had an answer within 24 hours from Erik at RW. Zebras are on sale there now...

Is Melafix safe to use with zebras ?

I have not had the need (knock on wood !) to use this on my zebs, but I was curious as to whether it is safe to do so ? I have used it on my corys, but I am curious as to whether the "experts" recommend doing so or not ? Thanx.

Hey wild, welcome to the site. Let me begin by saying that I have only been keeping zebras about 4 months, so I am fairly new at it. That said, are the zebras that you are going to be getting adults ? You need much less space for younger fish than you do for adults, obviously. That said, if you are ...
