Try zcliff (Larry). He makes awesome fry traps. He sells on AB, or if not there try on pleco fanatics. He ships worldwide. Good luck.

Hey there. I have 15 zebras in a 40 gal. breeder tank with a bare bottom. The 3 or 4 people that I bought my zebras from all had bare bottom tanks also. I think, like you said, it is easier to keep clean. I also have a 20L tank with L400s in it that are currently breeding, and that is also bare bott...

gtp, my zebras are the same way. Only the older, adult males take up residence in the caves. The rest of them are under rocks, slate, driftwood, and whatever else they can find. I think that when they are younger, they tend to roam more than the adults. Good luck.

No zebras yet, but I've got L400 fry !

Like the title says, I do have L400 fry. Only a couple or 3, probably due to my own stupidity ( I may have vacuumed some fry (?) before I even knew they were in the tank !). Considering I've only had the females a couple of weeks and they've already spawned, I'm pretty excited. Here's a pic or 2 of ...

I buy all sorts of frozen foods online for my zebras; brine shrimp, blood worms, cyclops, daphnia, etc. Mine are shipped frozen and arrive that way, so there is no need to refreeze them. You can buy small portions or flat packs. I feed them something different every other day. Good luck.

Welcome. You have become interested at a pretty good time. There are more zebras available now than there have been in the last 15 months, as long as you have the resources. When I first became interested in them, it took me almost a year to find and acquire some. there seem to be many more around f...

I certainly don't consider myself an expert, if the fish stays in the cave almost exclusively, it probably is a male. But sometimes the females will hang out in caves, although not like the males. I have 3 adults that I am certain are males, and they are in caves, tails wagging, 24/7. I have a coupl...

It took mine at least a month before they would come out and eat with the lights on, maybe longer. Now I feed them every other day, like all my fish, and they are out as soon as the food hits the bottom of the tank. They'll settle in. You just need to try and relax-I know, easier said than done ! Go...

I got my pygmy cories from Arizona Aquatic Gardens, although I'm sure there are other places. My sterbai I bought from a seller on Aquaria Central ( Mgamer). If you don't want to put your hands in the tank to scrape algae, I would suggest a Magfloat. It's a magnetized scraper that works great-and it...

I don't think any of the catfish will eat algae, although the sterbai will snack on a Hikari algae wafer that I drop in once or twice a week. I have never had any algae in my zebra tank, and it has been set up since August. Zebras like low light or less light, so I only run the light that came with ...
