Zeb ID crisis
I have one little zebra who thinks he's an otocinclus. Worse I think is that one of the female otos has taken a shine to him. If anyone in Australia has a spare zebra, my little guy needs it to come and live with him and tell him he's not an oto. The big red thing under them is a red whiptail L10a. ...

Update your profiles please
There are currently 1,157 members of zebrapleco forum, yay! There are 345 members who can't even be bothered adding a country to their profile. :( Many members place city, state, country in that order. When doing a search of members based on location this makes a mess. Please put Country first, then...

Unfortunately I only have one zeb left now. A few weeks ago I bought some queen arabesques who must have had a bacterial infection or something as they all died within 5 days. Second mistake: I must have transmitted the disease on my hand to the zeb tank as in 24 hrs the zebs went from being fine to...

Hey chilli, congratulations man. :D I know you have been after zebs for while, going by the WTB ads on plecofanatics. I am so pleased you finally got a couple. At a wild guess you might be lucky enough to have gotten a pair too. The big one looks a male shape and the smaller one looks kinda female. ...

I must have been overfeeding and even though I siphoned out uneaten food every day, I woke one day to find a white worm plague in the tank. There were litterally 100's of them on the glass. I made a makeshift tank with heater and airstone in a bucket, transferred the zeb juvis to the bucket ...

zebs now out of net in own tank
It took all day, but I emptied the zebra tank of sparkling gourami (relocated to 3ft community tank), cleaned the glass, took out all substrate, added caves and a platform and a couple of pot plants, and lots of floating little cover plants. The small airstone in the net has been replaced with a lar...

Tank after net
I have my 7 zebs in a broodnet until they get eating well and grow a bit. The tank is 50cm and contains 5 juvi bronze corydoras, and 10 sparkling gourami. The substrate is gravel and sand, there are several plants and a couple of little caves ready for the zebs. I am just thinking ahead here, but sh...

Not much help to you overseas forum members but recommended to me was these http://www.aoe.com.au/8x32_odyssey.html
Apparently they can focus as close as your own feet, and the 32 means its quite good in low light. 8x means you get to see your plecs 8 times bigger.
