With 3 cm they aren't that experienced in looking for food themselves. Myself I make a nice bunch of hidings in one little area and take care that the current wil...

Hello Plastic Mac Quite interesting. You see, I have always practised daily water changes. And my youngsters for sure reach 1 inch - but within 3 months of age. My spawn of 30.10.07 are already close to an inch. But I change a lot of water, run an UVC and so on. Think, this is important. I only feed...

Hello As far as I know the temperature of Xingu isn't influenced that much seasonally. Looking here - http://www.biotopaquarium.de/wasserwerte/listerioaz/werterx.htm then we don't keep the Zebras warmer either. To put it short.. I would say "Bigger in the nature - older in the aquarium". I...

They often dies. Personally I would never again take neons again. The rummynoses are swimming a lot more beauti...

Well- the red Neon (Paracheirodon axelrodi) do not mind the warm water. It's one of the other kinds, who prefers it colder. Innisi or simulans. Don't know it anymore. But they hide a lot, if the current are too strong. Rummynoses (Hemigrammus bleheri) are perfect - as they do not mind the current th...

I was thinking about... has anyone ever seen (back to the time where they were exported) such old wildcaught directly from the habitat?

Or are they only getting that old under safe aquarium conditions?

Best regards
