Hello Lucy I'm very sorry for your losses. Believe me - I know the feeling. Once lost all my plecos and had to start all over again. I have a few comments for you: Looking at the foto I'm absolutely sure, the problems are caused by an bacterial infection. I had luck in the past to cure this a couple...

Hello

L10a has been bred quite often and as to the caves: L10a prefer caves open in both ends - so they don't really compete for the same caves.

Perhaps the temperature is a little to high for L10a.

Number 3 is also a male. Without doubt in my opinion.

Number 4 I consider questionable - depending on age. Is it of same size / age like the others ?

I think, the seller is talking b..s... Crossbred .. really??.. one never knows.. - but then they wouldn't be "rare" and only 10 pieces... I wonder, it's not just another snubnosed Pleco - caring deformities from wrong treatment? Just like snubnosed Zeb's. And seller just trying to make it a little m...

Hello Brengun First point of view: I have some good friends and fellow breeders. Sometimes we help each other bringing fry up (capacity, or perhaps to divide risks if it is a kind of pleco not being bred before. So I have taken little fry in a age of 3 weeks. And they are doing fine (another kind of...

Hello I also duplicate everything - even to different power supplies. Personally I have always dreamed about a huge tank full of zebras - but no - i wouldn't do it. Just imagine if the glass broke or something like that. Therefore I split up my Zeb's. Btw - I have often heard that very little groups...

Hello There is only two places to enter information: Populationlist and breed list. Everything build up on these two lists. First naturally "add new population" and enter the informations. Date is fine. Here you can always see, when you got them. Personal remark is only for you. Nobody else sees it....

Hello

I'm rather convinced, that red areas (like the one from Barbie) are caused from bacterial infections!

Hello

Old copper pipes are usually of no problem. Only very new ones.

I dont know how to explain it - but after a while calcium/minerals whatever covers the inside of the pipes and so protect the water from the copper. You know - the same way that urge you to clean the watertaps.
