Caesars,

My CC company reimbursed me for the entire amount, fortunately. Paypal was... less helpful.

My '03 WRX. It doesn't actually qualify though, as I haven't started working on it yet (only had it a couple of months). Still, even stock it's a hell of a lot of fun. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y28/valhallan247/fido.jpg Unfortunately, my wife seems to think I can either spend money on fish or...

Thanks for the help Rob :D I was pretty stumped with these guys because of the lack of interopercular odontal growth, I'm not too hot at just using body/fin shape for IDing yet. Nevertheless, it's good to hear that there's possibly a nice ratio in this group.

The 6 L46 Quiz

I thought I'd let the pros have a go at sexing these  The first three may be too small at 1.75", but it's worth a try anyway. The others are, 2.25", 2.25" and 2.5" respectively. #1 http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y28/valhallan247/z1s.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2...

Thanks for the tip. I will definitely look into it some more. I have visited a couple of showrooms and none of them had plain slate tile, I'll have to see if they can get it in.

Is that the stuff with the machined back Barbie? I've looked around at quite a few places and found some similar to what you're talking about, but it's all been prepped for floor/wall installation.

I agree entirely. The only real reason I'm still looking for thinner pieces is for aesthetics at this point. The thick ones weigh a lot more, but I can fit eight in a USPS flat rate box for just under $8 regardless of weight. So using the thinner slate wouldn't save anything at all on shipping actua...

Hi Adam, No, I haven't been able to find any of the roofing slate yet. Actually, the people that I've sent caves to so far seem to like the thicker slate than the ones I've made with the thinner pieces. It's still a pain to work with, but I'm using a jig for the internal dimensions now and I silicon...

You're most welcome  The ones you got were a bit further on in the evolution of things from the pictures I posted in this thread

My angel fry used to do this all the time. I can't say exactly what it is, but I doubt it's due to current. My pairs spawned on upright pieces of PVC pipe, which I then transferred into mason jars hanging in a heated tank. I did put an airstone in the jars with them, but only bubbling at a rate of 1...

Something else that may help with a diagnosis; it's kind of hard to tell from the picture, but is the fluid the eggs are in clear? If not, and it has visible fragments of broken/decayed eggs floating around in it, this may have contributed to the fish's death. Sometimes a female fish that does not c...

Thanks for all the input :) I still don't entirely know what to make of it, as there seems to be ample evidence for both sides. Since my original post I've seen (fairly) definitive examples of both L66 and L333 that are extremely similar to this guy. At the very least I won't be trying to breed him ...

Hamish,

I'd say you had a female algae eater. Those small white balls in her abdominal cavity are eggs.

Another L66/333 ID

I picked this guy up from the LFS labelled as L66. I'm not sure he is. The body looks a little too squat and none of the L66s I've had in the past have been this goldish colour. I could definitely be wrong though. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y28/valhallan247/top.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/al...
