now males guarding the cave with 2 females around each side of the caves :)

fingerscrossed.

though stupid peppermint and other bristlenose i have sometimes kicks out the male :( so might be time for a species tank :)

I read somewhere that having more than 1 male (say 2) is better as this gives some competition to breed. generally the best way to tell a boy and a female is by looking at their face shape from above view. males will have more Square like face (i kinda call it a shovel face) and female will have an ...

Hello everyone, for the last 2months I wanted to make a nice cave for these little critters. I was tossing between slatecaves or caves made from clays kilned. all you gotta look at is the face shape...

its a girl for sure.

its probably trying to go into the cave to spawn and males stopping her... 100% sign of breeding :)

now i know i have both sex,

you guys recogn its time for a separate species tank for serious breeding? or does it require more growth before spawning?

I have purchased them when they were around 4-5cm and its been over a year since I purchased so is it safe to assume they are over 2 years old?

I have take this photo today. Its been about a year since I have obtained these babies when they were about 4-5cm (geeze they are slow growers!) I have 4 zebra I think i have 2female 2 male, or 1 female 3males.. anyway today for the first time I saw two of them fight... infact one of them has light little red mark on its body particularly at the top of the head.. (seems like its bleeding) is this normal? I think they are verge of sexual matu...
