Hi, Personally I would separate them into 2 groups, 1 group should have the largest male with the smallest male and another group with just one male. I find that if the males are about the same size there seems to be more fighting for dominance. I've had to split up males because of that, and have l...

Here are a few questions to get things going.

How large is the tank?

How many zebras do you have in the tank?

How many males are in the tank?

I'm wondering if it could be competing males causing some problems now.

Make sure you get the right test kit from API, salicylate or nessler. I believe the one with the two reagents is the correct one, whereas, the one with one reagent is the wrong one.

I wouldn't worry about it to much. The male knows when to eat. I've seen my male come out of the cave looking for food around the cave entrance when I feed after the light goes out while he is tending to eggs or fry. Earlier on when my male was breeding regularily and frequently, and when I was pull...

I am so sorry to here that. Hope he recovers. Even in such a big tank I'm surprised that this happened.

And to think I just finished talking to you about those guys and other plecos a few hours before.

If you're only planning to get a single pair, I think a 100gallon is way bigger than what is needed. If you already have a 100 gallon then use it otherwise I would get 2 29gallons or a 40gallon breeder tank and a 20gallon. one tank used for the breeding pair and the other for growing out babies late...

Hi YSL.

It is OK to feed them Ocean Nutrition Marine Formula 2. I have been feeding my zebras formula 1 and 2 small pellets for 3yrs now but I also feed them other sinking pellets and sticks.

How big are they? If they are over 8 inches that is a steal. My local store had one at 12 inches for $200.

I am very sorry to hear about all the zebra losts. I too would like to add that I have lost fry ever so often, usually around 1 or 2 a week or less. I've had fry between .75 inches up to 1.25 inches succumb to this problem. I'm thinking and leaning more towards the bacteria and bio film idea. My tan...
