Possible mated pair? A sub-adult shows interest in a juve..

I have 4 zebras, 2 juveniles too young to sex and 2 sub-adults previously sexed as male and another female. The sub-adult male seems to hang around one of the young juvenile's cave often. I have never seen either of them fighting for the same cave. They seem happy to share it. Would it be possible t...

I agree with everyone else regarding the water...If your tap water is city water and not well water, save your money and the hassle and just acclimate them with your tap water. I've purchased baby zebs several years ago from a breeder, who raised them in tap water and they are still doing very well.

I feed mine a variety of foods, including Hikari sinking carnivore pellets. Though the young juveniles don't seem to care for them.

FYI, it's cheaper to buy them in bulk, like BigAlsOnline.com or DrFosterSmith.com.

Is this a fair price?

My nephew spotted a local ad for 6 L-046 zebra plecos for $3550 obo. I told him it was kind of ridiculous price for them. This is the ad... http://www.gcca.net/classifieds/images/listings/MVC-002S.jpg I have only 6 L46 Zebra Plecos for sale. These are the coolest pleco on the planet. They are not ch...

Join plantedtank.net and look in the Swap & Shop section. You will find members selling plants or plant trimmings. You may even find people GIVING plants away. Plus the forum is a good reference for issues/questions regarding planted tanks. I'm also a member on there.

There are 2 models of the Eheim Pro 3, 2080 and 2180. The 2180 comes with a built in heater. The Eheim Pro 3e models do not have built in heaters, yet. The Pro 3e's are the electronic versions, that automatically expel trapped air, wave function, etc. As far as heater malfunctions on the Pro 2's, I ...

Unfortunately, it didn't make it. The tale never grew back. The last few days, it stayed out in the open, which was kind of odd for shy fish. I knew this was a sign of something bad. I found it dead today.

The house I live in is about 30 years old. I mix hot/cold for water changes in my 125 gallon tank. My 125 gallon tank has snail issues, though my clown loaches keep them in check. If there were copper issues in hot water, I would have no snail issues. FYI, copper KILLS snails.

It all depends on what kind of snails you have. Most snails are egg layers, so even if you think you got rid of them, you'll still eventually find more later. They were probably just newly hatched and too small for you to see. MTS (Malaysian Trumpet Snails) are livebearers, so picking them off would...

Zebras do not compete well for food. It's best to keep them as a species only tank. The tetras should be fine, since they are not really bottom dwelling/feeding fish, unlike the others.
