After quarantine, they were put in with his baby grow out discus and seemed to be doing well. About a month ago one of them mysteriously died and then on wednesday all were found dead. He rushe...

Hey Pete

Glad your guys are doing so well. Mine are looking good too...when I see them. You are feeding a lot more than me, I think I need to up mine. Also interesting to see you are feeding live daphnia, will definately try that. Anyone with some perfect recipes for little L046??

Thanks very much!

Could we start by looking at stock costs for youngsters and adults please. Are you able to ship directly to Cape Town, or via Johannesburg? What are the shipping rates per kg?

Thanks a stack for even starting the ball rolling and making this a reality....

Hi Barbie You are right, one does need a permit to import fish into South Africa. Infact I need a permit from the Department of Nature Conservation to say I may bring that species in and I also need a permit from the department of agriculture to say that their water is free of plant, algae matter an...

Who is able to ship to South Africa

Hi all I am so envious of you folk on this forum. I hope you realise just how lucky and priviledged you are even to have access to L 46's. We have never seen the fish in the flesh in South Africa. If there is anyone out there with a pair, or some juveniles that they are willing to part with, I would...

While I'm absolutely wowed by all I see and read here, I can't but wonder if these prices of tank bred fish are not squeezing the wild caught population even further. When people desperately want a fish like this beauty, do they not just look at the cheapest option to get it into their tanks?? While...

Hi Guys Thanks for the very warm welcome and sympathy shown. I have spoken to a few of the guys here who say they see them on their lists from time to time, but with the currency conversion dollar to our rand, it apparently works out too expensive for them to bring in. If I may ask how Zebra prices ...

Hi from South Africa

I became addicted to catfish while looking for discus tankmates. Unfortunately we in South Africa have never seen the L 046. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate them
