Re: Repashy Meat Pie
The Hikari i feed is pretty much only the frozen, I trust that brand for frozen. The only other Hikari I use is their algae wafers. Both the amano shrimp and the asassin snails love them. I tried NLS but was not impressed. Most commercial foods are not all that great imo. For meat loving plecos liv...

Re: Repashy Meat Pie
Yes, there is a reason. It has been replaced but Bottom Scratcher. I liked the Meat Pie and I like the Scratcher even more. The ingredients are similar but the Scratcher is the better mix of the two. Do you have any other high quality foods you feed them? I stopped feeding Hikari; don't think it's ...

Re: Should I combine tanks?
You also have to consider requirements; L46 do best in darker aquariums, with higher current and warmer waters. Few fish share the same requirements.
Honestly, I've learned they do best in a species only aquarium with maybe shrimp/snails as cleanup.

Thank you. I was losing my mind. I stupidly bought Spawn&Grow and Grub Pie as replacements.TwoTankAmin wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 4:20 pm Yes, there is a reason. Re: Glass Or Acrylic Tanks
I use glass because it's cheaper and more scratch resistant. However, acrylic is better since it's easier to drill and insulates heat better.

FS: WC Male L46 3" $175 [Still Available]
I need money for school and after my colony was decimated I no longer have the heart to keep this species anymore.
I have 1 x male Hypancistrus zebra for sale. He is WC and I'm asking for $175 local as I have no experience shipping and I don't want to start with such an expensive fish.

When the fish are at about 6 to7 cm wouldn't there be enough Odontode growth on the gills and pectoral fins to give some one a good educated guess? In pics 1 and 2 I thought I saw gill whiskers that touch the pectoral fins. Plus, the hair growth on the pectoral fins seems pretty thick to me. Howeve...

Re: eggs eggs attack of the shrimps
Coming up to day 7 and there is some eggs with a devoted male guarding them! My question is will red cherry shrimp eat baby zebs? Can the babys defend t and themselves? Does anyone else keep shrimp with their zebs? I ask this because there is quite a few shrimp around the cave and even a few inside...

Do You Keep Your Fry with the Adults?
I would like to know from all the hobbyists who have bred this fish if they keep their fry with the adults? Why or why not? When do you seperate them? Personally, I keep them in there as I have yet to see any aggression towards them from the adults and none of them look unhealthy. However, my only c...

Well after going on a break for 4 months (the last one on the other thread was a false alarm), I got them to do it again by letting the temperature to 76F after preforming a water change. Then the week after I did another water change and reset the temperature back to 84F and by the same week the ma...

Thanks for the reply Adam! I have heard that fry sometimes like to nibble on plants. Luckily, my zebs are to young to be breeding yet. I have yet to hear that or see that on my plants (although I don't mind), but I would go with live plants if you can. Much better aesthetically and the natur...
