Try getting a cave with removable lid. All my caves have removable lids so if you need to take the fry out, its simple as lifting the lid, gently using the finger to help the male and isolate the fry.

Congrats on the spawn... I know the surprise feeling you are having. I had a first spawn just recently and counldnt believe it. I guess the best feeling is when they breed and you least expect them too. Good luck with them.

Thanks guys... I will leave them with the parents. My only concern is will the fry be able to find food to feed themselves being so small?? I have 6 adults and they are in a 4ft long tank.

Yellow deposit on Slate... is it safe???

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone knows what is the yellow/orange deposit that is in the natural rock slate?? I acquired some natural rock slate recently and some of the pieces has deposits that looks like rust adhere to it?? I tried my best to sand it down but cant get rid of all of it. Does anyone...

Substrate or No Substrate???

Hi Everyone! Just wondering what peoples opinion on bare bottom tank vs. substrate bottom tank? I will be getting some zebras soon and need to setup up a tank for them. Personally I prefer bare bottom tank coz its easier to clean but apparently was told zebras like substrate such as sand/fine gravel...
